Design Process

Q: HOW IS CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT HANDLED?
A: Lindsay Hair Interiors has pages on Facebook and Pinterest with a comprehensive Concept Library. Simply "Like" or "Re-Pin" and Lindsay will be sure to look at what you've selected. Be sure to look at all categories for inspiration, even if it falls outside your room or design element...one never knows where inspiration can be found!

Q: HOW DO I SUBMIT FLOOR PLANS TO LINDEN BLUE?
A: This is actually a very simple process. A standard piece of graph paper works best, because you can easily work within a 1/4" scale, which means that 1/4" is equal to one foot. Start by standing in your doorway and sketch out the perimeter of the room. Make note of each wall dimension. Be sure to include windows, doors and soffits. Make sure to note floor vent and outlet placement, as well as the height of windowsills and the bottom of any crown molding ...essentially any placement or overall dimension that is going to affect the size of furniture and where that furniture can be placed. Remember, there can never be too much information! While your drawing does not need to be drawn to scale on the graph paper, be sure to double check your dimensions.

Q: WHAT IS THE TIMELINE OF THE ON-LINE DESIGN PROCESS?
A: Our goal is to provide a short term, online design and decorating relationship with an interior designer and we aim to complete all design work in a timely process.

The following are general timelines for each package: all timelines are approximate as traffic flow and purchases affect designer availability:

  • Online Design Consultation: 1-2 week completion
  • Trade Only Buying Services: 1-2 week for web-link options to be submitted to the client by LHI Online. The decision to purchase is then left to the client to initiate at their leisure. Lead-time for product varies from product to product and vendor by vendor. The lead-time will be indicated before the item is purchased.
  • A Day of Decorating: Generally, the date can be scheduled within 3-4 weeks of inquiry.
